1. About these terms
These terms apply to plumbing and heating services supplied by Anton Plumbing & Heating (“we”, “us” or “our”) to the customer named in the quotation, booking or invoice (“you”). They should be read together with any written quotation or job-specific agreement. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Quotations and estimates
A quotation is based on the information available and the scope stated in writing. Unless a quotation says otherwise, it remains open for [confirm validity period]. An estimate is an indication rather than a fixed price. Prices may change if the information supplied is incomplete, access differs from what was expected, hidden defects are discovered, supplier prices change before acceptance, or you request additional work. We will explain significant additional work and seek agreement before proceeding where reasonably possible.
3. Emergency and call-out work
Emergency attendance and diagnostic visits may carry a call-out or minimum charge. Any applicable charge should be explained when the booking is made or before work begins. The website’s emergency pricing is a guide and the agreed charge for your visit will take priority.
4. Appointments and access
You must provide safe and reasonable access to the property, relevant appliances, isolation points and utilities at the agreed time. Please tell us about parking restrictions, known hazards, asbestos, vulnerable occupants or other circumstances that may affect the work. We may pause or decline work where conditions are unsafe or outside the agreed scope.
5. Materials and additional work
Materials will be suitable for the agreed job and may be substituted with an equivalent where the specified product is unavailable, subject to discussion where the change is material. Parts removed from the property may be disposed of unless you ask to retain them. Unexpected defects or necessary remedial work will be explained and treated as additional work unless already included in the quotation.
6. Customer-supplied products
If we agree to install an item supplied by you, you are responsible for ensuring it is correct, complete and suitable. We are responsible for our installation workmanship but not for a defect, missing component, incompatibility or manufacturer warranty relating to a customer-supplied product.
7. Payment
Payment is due [confirm payment deadline and accepted methods]. Deposits or staged payments will be stated in the quotation. You should raise any genuine invoice query promptly. We may charge reasonable recovery costs or interest where permitted by law if an undisputed payment remains overdue.
8. Cancellations and delays
Please give at least [confirm notice period] if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment. We may charge reasonable costs already incurred or a cancellation fee that was clearly agreed in advance. Consumer cancellation rights may apply to contracts agreed at a distance or away from our business premises. If you ask us to begin urgent work during a statutory cancellation period, you may be required to pay for work properly completed before cancellation. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, but we will keep you informed and rearrange where possible.
9. Workmanship, guarantees and manufacturers’ warranties
We will carry out the agreed work with reasonable care and skill. Any workmanship guarantee should be stated on the quotation or invoice and is subject to reasonable access for inspection and correction. Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and may require registration, servicing or proof of purchase. Guarantees do not cover misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised alteration, unrelated faults, normal wear and tear or a failure to follow operating and maintenance instructions.
10. Complaints
If you have a concern, please contact us promptly with details and allow a reasonable opportunity to inspect the work and, where appropriate, put it right. Contact us at info@antonplumbing.co.uk or on 073 7910 9737.
11. Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of rights that cannot be excluded under consumer law. Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for loss caused by pre-existing defects, inaccurate information, failure to follow advice, or work carried out by others.
12. Privacy
We use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts that apply to them under consumer law.
14. Contact
